If you purchased a timed entry ticket, please do not arrive before your selected time session. You will be admitted at any time during that time session (for example, if your ticket is for 10:00 you can arrive any time up to 10:30), but not before. If you purchased VIP or Flextime tickets you may enter at any time.

Guests who purchase the audio guide through our online shop will be able to access the content on their device following their purchase, and will also receive a confirmation email with a link to download. If you bought a VIP ticket, an audio guide is included in your purchase, and can be accessed via QR code once you are at the venue.

Please note that each guest will need to provide their own listening device and headphones.

No, food and drinks are not permitted inside the experience.

The exhibition is self-guided and we expect guests to spend 60-90 minutes exploring. But feel free to stay longer - there's a lot to explore! The last admission is always 90 minutes before the end of the day - please note our opening hours.

All ticket types, including VIP and Flextime, include a one-time entry into the exhibition. There is no re-entry.

Yes, all guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Guests of all ages can experience Harry Potter: The Exhibition, however, some immersive elements may be scary for young audiences.

Yes! We encourage visitors to celebrate the Wizarding World by dressing up. Wands are also permitted inside the exhibition. Please share your photos with us using @harrypotter_exhibition and #HarryPotterExhibition!

Our retail store offers a wide variety of exhibition exclusive merchandise. The store can be accessed during our regualr hours without an exhibition ticket.

Limited exhibition merchandise collections are also available for purchase in the online shop.

How to Get Here

The METAStadt is only a 2-minute walk from the Erzherzog-Karl-Straße stop.

Arrival with the S-Bahn (S80) or a regional train (e.g. R81). From the platform (3+4) take the stairs to the underpass, turn right and take the next staircase on the right ("Dr.-Otto-Neurath-Gasse"). The METAStadt is a 250 meter walk from there.

Arrival by Bim (25) or bus (26A) From the platform, take the escalator or stairs to the top and then go left through the underpass. Take the second staircase on the right ("Dr.-Otto-Neurath-Gasse"). The METAStadt is a 250 meter walk from there.

Arrival by bus 86A, 87A, 94A, 95A or 96A With the buses you stop directly in front of the underpass in the direction of METAStadt. Take the second staircase on the right ("Dr.-Otto-Neurath-Gasse"). The METAStadt is a 250 meter walk from there.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition does not own parking spaces for visitors.

The closest parking facility is WIPark Star 22 (700m, 8 minutes walking). The address for your navigation system is: 1220 Wien, Adelheid-Popp-Gasse 22

We recommend using one of the many P&R facilities on the outskirts of Vienna to easily access the METAStadt.

If you come via the Westautobahn, you can also park at the P&R Hütteldorf and take the S-Bahn S80 directly to the METAStadt (stop Erzherzog-Karl-Straße). The address for your navigation system is: 1140 Wien, Deutschordenstraße

Coming from the south you can park your car at P&R Liesing and take the REX1 or the S-Bahn 2 or 3 to the main station. From there the S80 and the R81 leave every 15 minutes to the METAStadt (stop Erzherzog-Karl-Straße). The address for your navigation system is: 1230 Wien, Liesinger Platz 1

The METAStadt is easily accessible by bike. Bike racks are conveniently located at the stop Erzherzog-Karl-Straße.

From the underpass of the stop Erzherzog-Karl-Straße take the staircase "Dr.-Otto-Neurath-Gasse." The METAStadt is 250 meters from here.

We recommend larger groups travel by bus. Our tourism team will be happy to answer any questions you may have at touristik@semmel.de.

Harry Potter™: The Exhibition takes place at the METAStadt in Vienna: Dr.-Otto-Neurath-Gasse 3, 1220 Vienna, Austria.

Tickets can be booked online at HarryPotter-Ausstellung.at and at all oeticket outlets. Tickets can be purchased at the venue, pending availability. Guests are encouraged to purchase in advance to guarantee their preferred timeslot.

We recommend using public transport to visit Harry Potter: The Exhibition. The Exhibition does not have its own parking spaces for visitors. The nearest parking facility is the WIPark Star 22. Numerous bike racks can be found at the stop "Erzherzog-Karl-Straße", only a 3-minute walk away.

The stop Erzherzog-Karl-Straße can be reached by S-Bahn (S80) or regional train (R81), tramway (25) and busses (26A, 86A, 87A, 94A, 95A, 96A).

At what age do I have to buy a ticket for children?

Children under age 3 do not need a ticket. Children 3-15 are eligible for a special child rate. Guests age 16 and up need a regular Adult ticket.

Special rates for children under 15, students, and seniors are available. Please be ready to present a valid ID upon entry. Children under age 3 do not need a ticket.

Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Please contact our tourism team at touristik@semmel.de for more information.

If you have a Flex ticket, you are welcome to visit the exhibition on any date or time that we are open. There is no need to confirm your time before you arrive. Please refer to our operating hours above when planning your visit. Most guests spend 60-90min inside the exhibition.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is committed to the health and safety of our staff and guests. As such, all local, state, and territorial regulations are followed in each venue.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition complies with the health and safety requirements of local authorities. Currently, the wearing of FFP2 masks is recommended, but not mandatory.

Guests with sensory sensitivity should be aware that the exhibition features ambient music, sound bites from the films, non-strobe flashing lights, motion triggered sound and video, and other media moments throughout.

Animals are not permitted inside the venue, with the exception of registered assistance dogs. Please contact us to register your assistance dog before your visit.

Yes! Each location is accessible to guests with limited mobility. For guests with hearing disabilities, closed captioning subtitles are available on most of the galleries' media screens.

Persons in wheelchairs & people with a disability (from 80% according to ID) can visit Harry Potter™: The Exhibition at a reduced price. These tickets can be booked by phone on 01 / 96 0 96 or by email to rollstuhlinfo@oeticket.com.

Venue Information

Jackets and large bags can be checked in the lobby for a charge. Lockers are not available. Please note that the exhibition can only be visited with bags up to A4 size. Backpacks are not allowed.

Due to regulatory requirements you are not allowed to enter Harry Potter™: The Exhibition with a stroller in the METAStadt. The exhibition is accessible to strollers in Atlanta only. (Kinderwagen sind in der Wiener Ausstellung nicht erlaubt).

Accreditations to visit the interactive experience must be approved in advance. Approval can only be granted after verification by the licensor. Requests including information about the medium must be sent to https://www.allegria.at/kontakt/. The approval process will take a few weeks.

The exhibition Audio Guide featuring behind-the-scenes information and exciting stories about the Wizarding World is available in German as well as English. You can book online and then use the Audio Guide on your own smartphone - even outside of the interactive experience.

This experience is different than the previous. Harry Potter™: The Exhibition is a comprehensive touring experience that takes advantage of the latest innovations available in immersive design and technology to provide guests a highly personalized, interactive and engaging experience.

A typical visit takes about 60-90 minutes.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is a celebration of all eight Harry Potter films and the greater Wizarding World. Iconic story moments and behind the scenes information are featured throughout the experience. It is not necessary to have seen all the films in order to enjoy the exhibition, but visitors will see content from the full timeline of the franchise.
